28th April 2005 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 16-22knts Surf / Sea State: 3-4 foot Air Temperature: 14C Sea Temperature: 9C Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Got to the sea front to find it rather busy for Borth due to the Bristol Nomads visit. Al had just tested the water on a 5.7m and wasn't really going as the wind had dropped. So I rigged a 6.4m and went out. Wasn't enough at first but the wind started to fill from the SW and the sun broke through. It's been a while since I was out in proper waves and I struggled again. Pretty mush a case of getting as far as possible before getting munched. Al came back out later and dissapeared off out back, it looked pretty big out there at times. By the end of the session I was getting back into it but on what turned out to be my last run I went in, messup my water start and my kit got pounded resulting in a broken mast :-( More practise needed, I think. Still good fun in the sunshine and great to have company on the water. |
